This winemaking essential is ideal for adjusting the acidity (TA and pH) of musts and finished wines—especially those made with low-acid fruit or lacking brightness.

Malic acid contributes a crisp, tart profile and is commonly used in white wines, fruit wines, and country wines. It is also involved in malolactic fermentation (MLF) in red wines, where it is converted into smoother lactic acid.
